Sunday Riley

Brand Overlook.

Holy Crap! I think I'm in love!

I got some Sunday Riley samples a few weeks ago, which then turned into buying the full sized items (sorry bank account) and I am loving everything.

I have been having various skin issues lately and I have seen a noticeable difference in my skin. I wish I would have taken some before pictures for you. I may do that and do an update in about a month because it has been amazing so far, and I will be purchasing more. Not only are the products amazing, but head on over to there instagram, send them a message and they will answer you back with a customized routine. The Packaging, The Product. I'm in love.

The products I purchased were:

Flash Fix Kit - Ceramic Slip Cleanser and Good Genes All in one lactic Acid Treatment -$36

Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner -$70

U.F.O Clarifying Face Oil -$100.00

Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream -$28

Now these products are high in price, but honestly I am so impressed and I've only been using them for a week and a half. The Tidal and Flash Fix Kit are more travel sized items and not the full size so if you are looking to slowly introduce yourself to this brand I would start with those, or grab some samples from your local Sephora (you can do that btw). If you are going to splurge on anything in your beauty routine I always recommend good skincare. I will be purchasing more products in the weeks to come. I'm so excited!

Skin Background

My skin is normal to combination occasionally, but I am very acne prone. I don't suffer with cystic acne but I have clogged comedones on my forehead and a little on my cheeks, and tend to break out in smaller whiteheads on my chin, cheeks, and forehead... so basically wherever. I do have some blackheads occasionally but they aren't a huge concern for me and I have quite a bit of redness. I was looking for products that would; help my breakouts, tone down my redness, and help the overall texture of my skin.

So far so good.

Overall Product Review

I can go more in depth with a review of each of these products if you'd like but I thought I would just do an overall review and dive in a little deeper in an update post.

Overall I love the products, they work and the packaging is beautiful. It is something that I like the look of on my bathroom shelf. My redness has calmed down, my breakouts have lightened up and the overall texture seems to be improving. Now with any products you are going to want to use them for a few weeks to really notice a difference but so far it's looking very good.

Now the only slightly negative thing about these products is the smell. I don't mind the smell personally, i've actually learned to enjoy it, but I know some people may have a problem with it.

Some of the products I've tried have a stronger scent then I'm used to. It's quite earthy, but I just look at it as I've become one with nature.

U.F.O probably has the strongest scent of them all and it is almost like you've stuck your face in a spice cabinet, rolled it around and are good to go, but it is by far my favourite product. The scent is definitely overpowered by the benefits. It is something to be aware of if you are very sensitive to smells or very finicky about them. None of them smell floral which I do like. This is a dry oil meaning it absorbs quite quickly and you actually layer your moisturizer on top of it, rather than under. You want that salicylic acid to touch the skin. It is not drying and some don't even need a moisturizer with it because it does also contain moisturizing ingredients. I can't rave enough about this brand. I can't wait to see more results and try more products! Stay tuned for more skin care updates!!

Update on Glossier -

So i've been loving my glossier products and they have become a total staple whenever I put on my makeup, but I am even more impressed...

Glossier... And the verdict is

Glossier is one the most talked about brands at the moment, so I thought I would give into the hype and see just what this brand was all...
